■ DESCRIPTION
Would you like to engage with senior business and technical leaders of partners and enterprises to help them achieve extensive business value by migrating and modernizing technology landscapes to AWS? Do you understand the challenges of cloud migration projects? Do you have experience of building and enabling a diverse partner ecosystem?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for Migration Partner Solutions Architects to help our partners migrate customers to the cloud at scale. You will be playing a key role in accelerating these partners’ cloud migration capabilities to build scale to meet massive customer demand. You will be asked to apply your experience in cloud migrations to support and enable partners to build and develop their migration frameworks. This is a highly technical position for someone who can dive deep, build cloud-optimized architectures, and support our partners be successful in building migration capabilities.

You will be part of a cross functional team including business development, sales, solution architecture, partners, and professional services, engaging with senior leadership internally and within the partner and customer environment. Your role will be focused on driving successful outcomes for partners and customers, developing IP and mechanisms to build repeatable and scaleable engagements, and building an effective partner ecosystem.

The Migration Partner Solution Architect works with strategic partners to develop and enable their migration competencies and provide deal level technical support. The Migration Partner Solution Architect must have the ability to train and mentor partners on the migration process, technologies and best practices therefore enabling them to conduct engagements independently for positive customer outcomes.

○ Roles and Responsibilities
• The end goal is to enable the strategic partner ecosystem such that they are able to source and execute migration deals without the need for AWS support.
• To support partners develop their migration frameworks (assessment and readiness planning) and IP and act as a coach and mentor in live opportunities.
• To engage with strategic partners for deal level architectural and deal development support through deal workshops and enquiries support.
• Engage strategic partner account teams and inspire and enable lighthouse migration wins.
• Support active partner customer engagement providing support and where necessary leadership in defining cloud architectures and migration pathways.
• Identify opportunities and inspire partners to develop capabilities, IP and new ‘go to market’ solutions to meet market needs.
• Work with Partner Development Manager and Partner Success Manager to define and execute structured enablement plans for strategic partners.
• To provide ongoing high quality migration competency enablement to partners based on a combination of classroom support and deal level support.

■ BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of IT consulting experience as a technical specialist in enterprise customer or partner facing roles providing deal level support and enablement.
• Experience in leading datacenter or cloud migration projects.
• Breadth of experience across the Enterprise IT in multiple of the following areas: Infrastructure architecture; Database architecture; IP Networking; IT Security; Data Center Operations; Software design or development
• Breadth of expertise in private and public Cloud Computing (i.e. AWS platform), technologies and architectural best practices.
• Expert level technical acumen, including the ability to understand the customer or partner IT landscape, identify opportunities and overcome any technical obstacles, ultimately influencing the adoption of AWS platform in conjunction with business requirements.
• Strong leadership capabilities, having the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners, across multiple disciplines.
• Strong presentation and written communication skills; high degree of comfort with technical and Executive audiences.
• Demonstrate a strong bias for action and hands on approach
• Travel to partner / customer locations as needed. Estimated 25% travel requirement.

■ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in architecting complex use cases leveraging AWS services and multi-vendor environment technologies.
• Experience with cross platform migrations (from SPARC/AIX to Intel) and different hypervisor technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen)
• Hands on experience with networking and database replication technologies
• Have an understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and Enterprise IT management frameworks, identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets.
• Experience in designing, building, and operating global IT infrastructures.
• A proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects.
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GxP and FDA.
• Familiarity with discovery and migration toolkits
